Costa Rica exported $20.99 billion of merchandise goods in 2023, making it the world's #77 largest exporter. Goods flowed to 172 destinations, with the top ten markets absorbing 73.1% of total export value. The leading export was catheters, cannulae and the like, valued at $2.73 billion — 13.0% of the country's export portfolio.
