India imported $664.68 billion of merchandise goods in 2023, making it the world's #8 largest importer. Goods came from 207 source countries, with the top ten sources providing 62.1% of total import value. The leading import was petroleum oils and oils obtained from bituminous minerals, crude, valued at $139.78 billion — 21.0% of total imports.
